Arriving a bit early in your inboxes this week. That’s because it’s Easter this weekend and I’m hoping that means time with family, time outside, and time inside, with a cuppa and your favourite newsletter. This edition is bulging and it’s all good I promise, just waiting for you to take half an hour to relax and get lost in it. I’ll be camping near Moree with a handful of families and their broods. It’s going to be wonderful - if we survive the nine+ hour car trip - I’m looking forward to fishing and swimming and eating and drinking and camp-firing and canoeing. Sxx

Podcast Playlist
Only happy, wholesome listens here. A throw back to some of my absolute faves and some newbies too:
If you haven’t already: Tabitha Carvan at the Sydney Writers Festival on Finding your Passion (for Benedict Cumberbatch).
Elise Croker: How to start your own BnB. One of ours. Still one of my faves.
This Boyer Lecture blew my mind last week. It’s Professor Michelle Simmons 4th Lecture for the Boyer Lectures and addresses ‘The Importance of Doubt’ - how necessary it is in our highly curated, controlled lives. 30 mins only.
Maggie MacKellar’s writing rituals.
And I’ve been meaning to refresh your memory on The Farm Diaries since ‘our’ Maggie’s book Graft was noted in the longlist for The Stella Prize. This is a calm, thoughtful listen bringing you back down to your earth, wherever that might be.

An ode to eggs. From someone who’s taken to hard boiled eggs in a big way.
This riff on strangers, and what they bring to our lives. LOVE THIS.
Questions to ask yourself. For the astrologers of us.
Let this inspire you to write a letter and illustrate the envelope.
The inner monologue of this piece is brilliant. How did she get in my head? It’s about if she drinks too. Via Cup of Jo
I want to jetset to Paris with x 3 empty suitcases for beautiful art and homewares after reading this by Marin Montagut on collecting. I love this guy, he discovers the most beautiful artisans and collectors. His Timeless Paris book sits on the floor by my bed, just keeping me safe.
AND it’s not Mother’s Day yet - but it’s time to start leaving hints. TBH I’m past that, there’s no hints here, I just go ahead and buy (pre-ordered this last week), am going to wrap it up and make sure I don’t peek and then get excited about it all the way to MD.
New newsletters
The beautiful food photographer
- who I discovered when she used to work at Fred’s Paddington with Danielle Alverez - has a newsletter, A Journal by Harriet. Just a really gentle, beautiful read. Like this long form piece about Sarah Espeute. There is a newsletter called Morning Person; and it sounds a lot like this one! How nice.
Thank you to Sorority Clothing for bringing you this edition of Company on Sundays. Soon you can hear our podcast chat with owner, Cara Spreadborough. It’s a wonderful story of how this label came to be - and her hotline from Roma, QLD to the headquarters fo Liberty in London where she regularly gets advanced viewings of new season Liberty prints before bringing them to life in beautiful shirts on sale here in Australia. Cara has a pre-order open at the moment for her new collection, of which ‘the Lillibet’ shirt (modelled on shirts originally once worn by the Queen and her mother) has caught my eye and my heart.
(Buy now if you like it, there was only 9 left when I purchased mine this week)
