It has not been cold. It has not been wet.
Our forage crops look wonderful. That deep green. And when you add in the sheep, everything looks as it should. I keep saying, ‘we have to make the most of this’ and we do. Perhaps, probably by the end of the year we will be desperate. The forecast tells us so. And so, now, we take stock, sit and enjoy and cope with what is to come when it comes.
Winter is never like this. Most weekends we are enjoy a fire in the paddock. I drive the car across the green, damp grass. We sit and watch the coals burn. It’s our living room, outside of the house. The kids are happy, they know I am there and I relax without the itch. And there is marshmallows.
