Guys - I am so sorry, this email didn’t go out on Sunday. My hugest apologies, i) because it’s late and ii) because it’s a really great edition and I think you will love it!
Good morning! Is this not the most tranquil, relaxing scene? It’s taken from the riverside deck at The Boat House, Tuross on Xmas Eve last year. I took it, knowing that I would appreciate it numerous times in the year ahead. I can hear the water lapping away, lick, lick, lick, against the deck, the occasional gull and the quiet hum of humans going about their holiday. Ahhh. Enjoy your Sunday lovelies!

Why Women Grow: A newbie from the UK. Any followers of our Garden podcast, will most certainly be into this.
I’ve seen this recommended everywhere - which is usually a turnoff for me but Sarah Andrews 1hr 10 min long welcome podcast is really great.
This. How do you want to live the last 10 years of your life with Neurophysiologist, Louisa Nicola. Certainly came at the right time for me.

This pile of things to read
I love Diana Reid’s contemporary books, so it’s fitting she was the one to pen this about Book-Tok. Whatever that is.
This is cute. It profiles the daily routine of From Lucie, a cult-cake-with-flowers shop in NY. Here she is again in Vogue. Below is from her website. I’m thinking Lucie could set up her next shop in Gunning?
And some more on food. ‘A meal at the White House is never simply a meal.’ An insight into the constantly careful construction of guests, menu and family day-in, day-out at the Whitehouse. Via Lit Hub.
Can poetry heal a broken world?

Something to show you;
This week, Graziher is launching its second podcast, The Farm Diaries.
TFD is a regular column in the Graziher magazine written by the wonderful Maggie MacKellar. In the podcast, Maggie breathes new life into these columns via the spoken word. Not only is it beautiful but I think it’s genius. Maggie’s gentle, fluid approach to tells the story of farming in a different way and I think listeners will learn more than they ever have this fickle, challenging and uber-rewarding vocation; it’s about the good days and bad days and about how much thought, care (maternal) and genuine creativity is given to individual animals in the hope that they live! To keep a lamb alive is no mean feat, as you will hear. And then, there is a sort of peaceful awakening with the underlying messages of about life and nature, motherhood, intuition and the senses and the ways in which we communicate with those around us, be it human or not. I just love it. It’s launching on Tuesday, but I’ll let you in on a little secret…. the trailer episode is available now if you want a sneak peek.
PS: It’s been just so lovely working with Maggie on this project, giving me an extra excuse to be on the receiving end of her wisdom on writing (and how to get paid!). I feel very lucky she is my circle of consciousness.
