The streams of moonlight have been sliding through the open door in our bedroom this week, holding my subconscious hostage in the small hours of the morning. With it, the air’s chill arrives. ‘I should close the door but it’s too beautiful,’ I think as I wrap myself further and further into the doona. During the day, we are just an inch away from lighting a fire, inside or out, I don’t care. At the same time, I’d love to be swimming in the dam, the prickly feeling of skin, body submerged fully in the water world for one last time before it’s too late. The magic of Autumn. Dry and hot, crisp and chilly, windy and still - all at once. As Easter approaches I hope you get time to lap up the weather - however it may present itself at your house. Thank you for being a paid subscriber here - it’s this small crew that keep’s my work serious and sustained. I appreciate you so much. Sxx
