This week I’ve spent most days working in the sun on the front veranda - the weather has been dry autumn in all its glory.
It’s suddenly so dry here - everything is a hue of grey, big trucks have been bustling past either taking sheep to sale or delivering grain for feeding stock.
But there is certain beauty to the countryside when its like this; I feel it’s almost Australia in its naturally habitat, everything is subdued and the stark fresh white bark of the gums pops at you adding to the beauty.
The gums are the star of the show rather than the bright greens of grass and habitat that have come with the wetter autumn of the last few years.
And the birds;
Each morning I walk on the lawn and find another tiny feather with another colour, red, blue, green and yellow. I’ve started a collection.
And then this little fella has been saying hi most days.
