It’s been an interesting week. I’ve been on the tools. It’s been a shock to the system that’s for sure.
I realise now that I am actually palpably smug about my on-farm abilities but with no real qualification other than ‘it’s something I once did.’ If you need me, I can step into action easily. This knowledge is inherent and I am a ‘farm-girl’. Ha LOL.
Yeah sure I can load the sheep - I can draft the lambs from the wethers, no probs. These jobs: so flippin hard.
It’s been a marathon of physical exertion. It was not pretty as I tried in vain to manage a dog to turn the heads of clueless lambs to walk onto a truck in the searing heat. Also I was trying to save face infront of the young truck driver. ‘I can do this, piece of cake.’
Someone should have been recording, wouldn’t have mattered if it was film or audio - I wasn’t swearing - but the desperate high-pitc…
