The humble BFF, 7 types of rest and indulging in Paris

The weather is foul, it's school holidays and I think we all need a rest already.

Doesn’t this scene look just about right? Muted cold season light, morning fog, and a garden that’s packing itself away for the season. It’s the commercial flower patch at Anna MacDonald’s Brighton Farm near Mudgee. I don’t know Anna but I messaged to ask if she would mind me using her image here and we got chatting about how wonderful it is that localised flower farms are popping up all over the place. This is one thing I think I would like to include in our More From Manson educational series later in the year

The podcast cupboard is bare right now but I’m guessing there may not be a lot of time for poddies in the next few weeks. There is always our Spotify Playlist of Podcasts from the last few weeks (I have added a few extra’s).

Instead - just let loose on this library of new delicious instagram accounts:

Lay your eyes on these Instagram accounts

And as we’re all on Holidays now; I’ll indulge you in this haul of Paris based instagram accounts. Hope your heading somewhere fun!!

This pile of things to read

The Friendship Files is a project by Julie Beck who interviewed 100 friends and friendship groups for her column with The Atlantic. “Having written a lot about both friendship and dating apps, I was curious about Bumble BFF.” Her last write up was a few weeks ago. Rabbit Hole Alert.

7 types of rest via TED’s ‘How to be a better Human’ Series.

Love this: Barber Shops as Mental Health Hubs.

As an ex ABC-er; I was blown away by this article ‘What will we look like in 2023’. Social media hardly existed when I started with the National Broadcaster.

For all the daily routines lovers - you will love T Australia’s The Artists Way in the latest edition of its irl publication.

Oak Magazine’s Kimberley Furness has bought a van, is fitting it out and wants to travel rural areas recording interviews. I am envious and I want one too, maybe next year, or the year after. You can see more about Manson’s plans and dreams on Instagram over the next few weeks.

In the meantime be in spired by our Company podcast with Kimberley who’s actually doing all these things and more.

As always darling readers, thank you for being here each Sunday, or Monday or whenever you choose to indulge your subscription is keeping our Manson plans alive for the moment. If you’d like to share and recommend this read with some of your close friends, please do (before the full raucous of school holidays sets in!) Sxx
