You are reading Company on Sundays a newsletter initially designed for people in rural Australia who couldn’t get the Sunday newspapers, but now it’s enjoyed all over by women everywhere. I hope they are still in bed when they open this email, and I also hope someone might have brought them a cuppa. If that’s not the go, then I hope this pile of podcasts, instagram accounts, newsletters and articles is enough to allow you 10 mins of relaxation on a Sunday. Thank you for loving this space! Sx
Lately, inspiration has been striking strong and hard at about 6:30pm. The sun has gone. Cold is descending. Dinner is bubbling on the stove and the kids are starting to stomp, tackle and cartwheel through the living room. It’s not the best time. I am keen to see them in bed and tend to this mind explosion.
In this instance, like many others ie mind wandering while pushing the pram, playing on the floor or watching playground play, I wonder can it be called ‘inspiration’? You can’t actually enact any of it. There are more pressing things. It’s really an ‘aspiration’. “A hope of ambition of achieving something“. That is all this is; wild ideas, ferocious even and I am at a loss as to how to convert from aspiration, to inspiration, to action, to achievement. An ideas fairy would be welcome here. What I want to know though, is this the same for us all? Are you an ideas factory too, that lacks on delivery? All these fabulous schemes being lost to the ether.
