Here is your usual haul of goodness for a Sunday morning, or afternoon (or even mid-week missive). I love pulling together this newsy, broken record I know, but true. Have a fab week. Sxx

This pile of things to read
Turia Pitt has just released a wonderful resource, The Routine Rulebook, and it - like most things she does - is wonderful. She breaks it down into good days, bad days and really bad days. And Yes, of course, I’ve put my pitch in for her to be a guest on Daily Routines.
Speaking of, here’s the Routine of Maliah West, author, night-owl and non-dream-chaser. Via Morning Brew.
Having been at a few irl events over the past weeks, I think the working from home idea is starting to wane. Not in all instances, and not all the time but it’s something being echoed globally.
ADHD Diagnosis in Adult Women. It’s a thing.
Book pile: Sophie Weeding, Bruny Boathouse, Raffah House, Tasmania
The Goldfinch by Donna Tartt. I absolutely loved this book and also thought the movie was fantastic. I read it a number of years ago and it’s stuck with me. The narrative and story - outstanding.
Picking up the pieces - Remembering Ford by Sarah Guthrie. An incredibly difficult read. Written by a family friend who lost her 17 year old in a car accident. Sarah is so strong in her writing - a beautiful and obviously at times incredibly heart breaking reflection on the 17 years she had with her son.
Truganini by Cassandra Pybus. Cassandra was the last full blooded aboriginal woman in Tasmania. Born on Bruny Island, she lost her family in the black war and was associated with George Augustus Robinson who was a part of the colonial government that formed Van Diemens Land, Truganini was a guide and informant to him. Having a shack on Bruny really strikes a cord for me after reading this book, Bruny Island is a richly spiritual place - the air feels different, there’s a sense of indescribable calm when you’re on the island.
Variety of magazines - constantly drawing inspiration from mags for our places, aggressively thumbing through for our current project in motion
New Rural by Ingrid Weir. Ugh such a beautiful book to peruse for endless inspiration
Top walks of Australia. I have a small gang of girlfriends in TAS who I do walks with so we each have this book and peruse for ideas.
Love & Virtue by Diana Reid. I borrowed this from a girlfriend and am midway through. Such a relatable book detailing early days at college and university.
Sophie Weeding was our guest this week on Company for her brilliant work as a bnb creator in Tasmania. Listen to our chat here.
As a paid subscriber you receive early access to our Daily Routines podcast. I think listening to these episodes on a Sunday is a perfect match by starting the week with a fresh feeling of inspiration.
Daily Routines: Author Liz Harfull.
Slow starts, late nights and a pen and paper next to the bed.
This newsletter and our suite of podcasts is literally run on the smell of an oily rag. We are really feeling this at the moment. The most effective way to grow our following (and revenue) is via personal recommendations and word of mouth. If you’re a regular here we would be delighted if you shared this newsletter with others.
