It’s been said that health, family and community are our greatest assets – we need to take the greatest care of them. Enter Common Ground Foundation and a trio of passionate, caring women who are trying to help rural families brick by brick. One of those women is the formidable Georgie Keats.
T: Where do you live, with who and what do you do in your role for Common Ground?
G: I live on a property outside Mt Tyson, with my three girls and my mum. We have a bit of sheep, cropping and cattle here – all quite small. I am still very involved in my family business, Keats Family Pastoral, with the engine room being in north QLD , but we are really lucky with technology and the way we can keep doing much from afar. I am one of the founding directors of the Common Ground Foundation, along with Felicity Burton and my mum, Belinda Keats.
T: Tell me about the foundation – where did it come from, why did it start…
