Hello all. My big apologies for not being there for you on Sunday morning! But I am here now and I guess this means you have the whole week to wade through all these goodies and enjoy. We’re expecting a hot week ahead and so the watering has started in the garden and I am rushing to pull weeds before they reach gigantic proportions. Also, I’ve started a new venture. Hahaha I have to laugh at me because I do feel like I am flipping and flopping all over the place with my ‘ventures’ and ‘ideas’. I just have this terrible mind that latches on to an idea, or an itch as I’ve come to call it, and I’ve learnt that if it sticks around I have to do something about it or else I go crazy. So, I will explain more in a later post, but I have become a florist-of-sorts, selling bunches in our gorgeous local artisan bakery Clementine in Yass*. It’s been delightful, challenging, all-consuming and hectic - and so far, I am loving all of those things! For those who’d like a sticky beak I’m @___b.u.d___ on Instagram.
*Yass people - or anyone nearby - I’m selling flowers from Thurs-Sat at Clementine which is open 8.30am-2pm. I’m also more than happy to do a custom arrangement (birthdays, events, teacher/coach thank you’s, save-my-sanity at home bunch) for you, you just need to let me know by Tuesday evening of that week. Email me or be in touch on Instagram. Costs range from $30-$125. So far, this part - the custom arrangements - gives me the most Joy. Flowers are the best. Making a beautiful creation for someone special is better. Also Clementine is closed for the next fortnight as it opens it’s second store in Murrambateman, but all will be back to normal after that. I’m happy to make you a bunch in the meantime you just need to be in touch.
This week’s newsletter is kindly sponsored by The General Kinsfolk, a (absolutely beautiful) modern homewares store in Boorowa.

Vocal about Local is very on trend for two reasons; I’m now a florist (ha!) and its the podcast of the Grown Not Flown platform whose creator Nikki Davey has just been crowned with the Agrifutures Rural Woman of the Year Award.
And Ummm Grace Brennan has been dominating the feeds in the last few weeks. Here she is on Humans of Agriculture (2 parts) and then again on the DediKate podcast.
