Big things are happening for us this week
It's go-time for a totally new look brand for my podcasts and newsletters.
If you’re a long time follower of mine, you will know that when I walk, sometimes I really get lost in nature in the heavily wooded paddocks of our home. My Mum’s late partner, Andy was such a bushy, he was wild at heart; we loved him dearly. He taught us about tree’s and grasses and opened our eyes to the beauty of scrubland which previously I think had just been viewed as a nuisance. He’d move slowly, observing the minutiae; rocks, tracks, orchids, leaves, bark. So when you observe the ‘new look’ brand this week, this is what you will see - a cultured palette representing all the elements of modern day rural life. Of course, it’s inspired by the roots we now have here at Blakney Creek, NSW, Australia, the colours, tones, textures and all the minutiae. Can’t wait to show it to you here.

I took so much from this interview with Tim Duggan of Cult Status.
Do yourself a favour and make The Lazy Genuis poddie part of your repertoire.
How email is taking over the world. This was a long listen so I tuned in and out. Most of all it was nostaligic for the days of email and the internet in the 90’s.
Pieces of the Mind on The Good Human Project run by 20 year old Cooper Chapman - which also has it’s own podcast, Good Humans. I liked this ep on meditation.

This pile of things to read;
Very envious of this garden studio.
It’s scientifically true: most working parents are suffering burnout. NYT
Thank you Sophie Hansen for getting me riiiiight back into audio books this week with the delightful Lessons in Chemistry - here’s what Malcolm Gladwell thinks about the future of Audiobooks.

This Week has been all about:
Phew. The re-branding business has been busy but is so excited when it all starts to come together. Basically I am rebranding my podcast business - it includes a new website, instagram account, new podcasts and a new place to find them on iTunes and as above, some gorgeous new colours.
We are getting bigger, offering you more and putting ourselves in more ears (and eyes) - and we hope you are onboard with all of it. Keep an eye on happenings here.
Otherwise this week has been about;
Celebrating the writing genius of Maggie MacKellar on Women Behind Wool - for her work educating the masses about life on a merino farm. Her way with words is desensitising negative narratives and teaching us about the quirky personalities of her merino sheep. She’s an asset to the industry.
Only 2 weeks until a new season of Company drops - so I’ve been busy interviewing super cool chicks and lining up sponsors. Please drop me a line if you are interested in sponsoring a single episode of the podcast this season.
And if you haven’t already - learn a thing or two about humble mothering by way of Mrs Abbey’s story on Life on the Land. This is one for the memory box I think.
