Happy Sunday! Today I’m giving you a tiny tour of us, of one of my paddock walks.
This is us, in Spring.
A different kind of view to most farms in a not-too-dry Spring. Grey and whites as opposed to the deep greens and yellows of broadacre and layered greens of livestock farms. I love it like this, it’s incredibly natural and while it looks muted, dry and crispy, it’s abundant with life at this time of year.
I’ll be taking a small two-week break from this newsletter after this Sunday. Just to recharge the batteries and make the most of the remaining school holidays. Thank you for being here, as always. See you on the other side. Sxx

I’ve stumbled across this great newsletter by Keryn Donnelly it’s called
- it’s local and its great. Here’s her watch list for October - also great!Really loved this super cute campaign by Zoos Victoria, the bogong moth tracker; Apparently Bogong Moth numbers are in peril reducing the amount of food for the closely watched Mountain Pygmy Possum - super cute - so this citizens project might be one for your and the young’uns these holidays.
The Unbearable Lightness of Being a Sally Rooney character. All of a sudden there are so many books that I must have on my bedside table, Rooney’s latest is one of them, so is Elizabeth Stroud’s.
How podcasters took over music concerts.
Thanks for the moth tracker project! Love the photos of your place, feels like home!
